Where in the WORLD?!?!?!


We have covered some ground in the 10-Week Live Healthy Iowa Challenge! 

If YOU could walk anywhere in the world, where would you go?

  1. I would love to hike the entire Appalachian trail someday to experience the scenery and meet new people in an area of the US that I have not been fortunate enough to spend a lot of time in (yet).

  5. If I could walk anywhere in the world, I would want to walk through all of the United States before venturing out into foreign territory. The grass may always look greener on the other side, but sometimes there's nothing better than appreciating your own back yard.

  16. I'd love to walk around the cliffs and the coasts in Ireland, and explore the castles. I'd also like to walk a path and run into some sheep - for some reason, I see that in the movies and that just seems like something you'd just have to do when you're there! - Molly Rossiter, Marcom MOVE

  19. I would walk on Perdido Key beach in Florida to Orange beach in Alabama. It woudl be about 6-8 miles round trip and you never tire of the magnificent view and the luxury of walking by the ocean!

  28. If I could walk anywhere in the world, I would walk the perimeter of Yellowstone National Park with my daughter. I went there in 2008 and it was the best experience of my life so I would love to share that with my daughter. We'd have to keep an eye out for bears and other wildlife but that would just be an awesome experience. - Ashley Ward, Mission Slimpossible

  31. After reading the book Wild by Cheryl Strayed, I'd take my new pedometer, hiking boots and backpack to the Pacific Crest Trail. The peacefulness of being in the wild is second to none. Brenda Dodge, Elegant Eight.

  47. I always love hiking the mountains of New Mexico when I go there to visit family. An aspen grove in the fall is amazing.

  49. I would love to hike through Ireland / Northern Ireland to retrace the steps my ancestors took when leaving Ireland and continue that hike in the Great Smokey Mountains where they eventually traveled after arriving in the US in 1774. joanne-cabbage@uiowa.edu

  56. I would like to return to England for a hike on the Pennine Way. I spent a very wonderful academic year in Nottingham and thoroughly enjoyed the climate and the people in the small villages and walking pathways of the Midlands.
