The way I like to relax is by reading and just "vegging" out. I always tell my kids that this is my down time and I just need to be alone and not bothered. Whether I am playing a game on my phone or binge watching LMN, that's how I relax!

I enjoy reading.

Netflix Series binge every now and again lets me relax and have some time to myself....Mani/Pedi's are also a nice way to pamper yourself now and then. :)

I have a drink with my girlfriends, Amy E, Sports Med Movers
ReplyDeleteI like a glass of red wine with my wife.
ReplyDeleteOne of the ways that my family and I relax is going in our back yard and enjoy family time in the hot tub. Another good way to relax is with a good cup of coffee and a new book.

I have had three knee surgeries, so I am anything but an efficient runner. Because of that, I frequently battle sore feet and Achilles tendons. To rest and renew, I grab the remote and get caught up on reruns of Superstore, Modern Family, or The Goldberg's while I soak my feet in warm water/epsom salts.

Both spending time with good friends and spending time alone relax and renew me.
ReplyDeleteNancy R, Wobbly Walkers
To relax I make things with my hands crochet, quilt, and remodel my home.
ReplyDeleteDawn Mission Slimpossible
To relax I either listen to some good music or get outdoors in nature.
ReplyDeleteTom, HSSB Working Out
I relax by taking my little dog out for a run around the yard and playing catch with her. The joy she shows makes my stress melt away and we both get some exercise.

DeleteHeading to Snow Mountain Ranch - near Granby, Colorado for an active, fun week of skiing, hiking and maybe flat tire biking (in the mountains). Got oxygen anyone?

As a newish empty nester, I said that I was not going to turn into a couch potato a year and half ago when our youngest of 6 left the nest...fast forward how good it felt to get to have time we could actually relax...no I haven't turned into a couch potato, but I sure do relax on the couch my fair share! So my favorite ways to relax from the stress of everyday is to spend a little time on Facebook but I tend to go to a group page that I'm on and read more about self improvement things instead of just see what everyone is up to. I also remembered how much I love to read, so I do a pretty good amount of time doing that as well. I'm starting to get back into crochet as well, and then if I really need to unwind it's a hot bath! AT MY LEISURE and nobody standing on the other side of the door asking how much longer I'll be! LOL!! Joellen of The Meltaways
ReplyDeleteGoing for a walk always helps and sort of wears out our high energy dog. I like sitting on our 4-season porch with a coffee and a book and watching nature. The cats love watching birds from there and laying in the sun. Watching a movie or listening to music and singing and dancing along with our daughter. So many ways to relax.
ReplyDeleteRenee W - Unpacking the Trunk
Now that spring is around the corner and the weather is warming up, one of my favorite stress relievers is to sit on the porch swing that overlooks my backyard and close my eyes. No phone, nothing to read. I just sit and listen and smell. Then I open my eyes and take in everything that is happening in the yard (plants coming up, birds flying around, clouds passing over, etc.).

One of my favorite things to do to recharge is to go on a "girls' weekend" out-of-state with my sister, niece, and daughter. We shop, go to nice restaurants, take walks, exercise in the motel gyms, and relax. It is a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteMary Roggentien, Psyched 4 Fitness
My relaxation is "Wine at Five" as we call it. By definition the 5 is more often 8 PM. The wine is often herbal tea. So perhaps a more accurate description would be "Evening relaxation with my spouse" The end of day relaxation is a important unwind time.
ReplyDeletePat K. Best Eye Can Be
I relax by spending time at home with my family, playing with my kids, sitting on the deck, enjoying the quiet. Having time to reflect on the day is important!
ReplyDeleteKate S, Flab-U-Less
Once a week I soak in a tub of Epsom salts and essential oils. We have HUE lights installed in the bathroom so I keep the lights low and put in my Apple earbuds. I'm completely renewed when I'm done bathing and sleep wonderfully!

I like hiking trails to be outside. I don't mind walking through the neighborhood, but being in a park or wooded area of some sort is much more fun. To just relax, I love just sitting outside on a lawn chair with a book. If I had access to a canoe or row boat that would be a delightful outdoor activity as well. Hard on the shoulders, though. :)
Hmm...I am responding to "be active outside" and these other comments seem to be the "relax descriptions..."
go outside!
ReplyDeleteMaresi from Keep Calm Team
I love being outside. I work in my flower beds and that is very therapeutic to me. I also enjoy kayaking, swimming, camping, and hiking. Anything outside for me. Those are all relaxing and stress relievers for me.

I'd like to say that I curl up with a warm beverage and a good book, but my kids are home on spring break this week so their energy is working on rejuvenating me for the moment.I love it when the house is full of activity and laughter!

Unfortunately I got sick at the start of spring break, so I was forced to lay low. When I feel better I like to put on music, brew some coffee and watch a good movie or read.
ReplyDeleteJennifer, Sports Med Movers
The weather is getting nice, my birds are back, my puppy loves backyard walks where she can check out the bunnies and critters in her yard, Then we walk around the block. Just being outside and out of the house is relaxing. Beverly Belzer, Wellness Ambassadors.
ReplyDeleteGoing for a walk outside or sitting in a bright room at home where I can feel the warmth of the sun is so relaxing. I also like to treat myself to a therapeutic massage on occasion. :)

I like to relax by doing some mindfulness exercises and reading a book on the couch with my pug. I'll relax with my husband by cuddling on the couch and watching movies.
