I sent the following email to my team...
    Day 80…
To date we have logged 397 hours and 23 minutes of physical activity!!! There are 20 days left…so if we can each do 1 hour of activity each day, for the next 20 days we will reach 537 hours of logged hours!!! If we can do little more than that, we could reach 550 hours of activity-what do you think? Can we do it?

    I know we can-so let’s get moving!!!

(If you need some ideas to get some extra steps in, I have six little feet you can chase any time you want ) Go Team!

My primary motivation is to stay healthy so in a few years when I retire I will be able to keep moving and enjoy traveling and having fun during that time. Retirement planning is like car rearview mirrors - it is closer than it appears. So it is never too early to start planning and that includes for a healthy retirement.

  4. 100 day challenge has a snow ball effect. I joined a team to get motivated to work out and get in shape for a wedding I'm attending in May. I met our team leader at the CRWC and after she gave me a tour I joined! Logging my time has created a routine of going to the Center 3 to 4 times a week and working out at home when I don't. I look forward to using exercise equipment I don't have at home and am inspired to continue working out by the results I'm seeing. I'm fitting into clothes I couldn't wear when I started this challenge.

Email to my team today (thanks Erin for the idea!):

    Hello, team,

As of this morning, we have logged 788 hours 21 minutes of activity!! Let's shoot for 1000! We have 20 days left. That's an average of just over 1 hour of activity per person per day. We can DO THIS!!

Day 80 of the 100 day challenge finds us all still putting in our minutes each day even if we have to travel or have several meetings during our days. We keep checking on how each is doing and encourage each other to keep moving and stay healthy!

My motivation for the LHI challenge has been my children. They are 2 and 4. I have been able to go for walks with them and play at the playground as part of my activity hours. To date I have lost almost 30lbs and am down 5 pant sizes. Providing healthier meals for my family is encouraging me to eat better for myself as well as establishing good eating habits for them. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this challenge as it is truly changing my life.

  8. What have we done within our team? We have used words of encouragement in the hallway and emailing updates like this one I just sent: "Counting down…Keep up the good work! Best Eye Can Be has logged 274 activity hours and 1.53% body weight loss. Don't forget to log your progress. Pat" -Best Eye Can Be

  9. We have had a few obstacles along the way but for the most part things are moving right along. I just keep advising to walk walk walk and drink lots of water to stay full and to make sure we keep the candy out of site.
