Join Team LiveWELL as we compete in Live Healthy Iowa's "100 Day Challenge". Our goal is to increase physical activity. Team LiveWELL is composed of LiveWELL staff. However, we are also working moms, blushing brides, managing injuries, balancing family schedules, AND trying to add physical activity. We believe that accountability aids in success, so we are making ourselves accountable by sharing our goals with you.

RIVER RUN TRAINING PROGRAM
Thinking about doing the River Run 5k on April 29 or any other 5k run/walks this spring? Join UI Wellness and partners for a “River Run Training Program.” Free educational seminars from groups like UI Sports Medicine and Running Wild, as well as Saturday morning training runs are a part of the programming available to support Novices and Advanced runners alike. Educational Session - Nutrition for Your Training Tuesday March 27 from 6-7 p.m. at CRWC Meeting Room 1A/1B
Proper nutrition is key to having your best possible performance. Graduate Assistants from UI Recreational Services will lead this talk. For attending, you’ll have the chance to win a gift certificate for Red’s Alehouse in North Liberty.
Training Run – Saturday, March 31 at 9:00 a.m. (CRWC)
Join others for a 5-kilometer training walk/run (distances will all be less than 3 miles). The training runs will be self-paced, but you will be provided with a route. They will start from the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center, and the group will meet indoors just outside of the Wellness Services area, 1st floor.

210 teams and 1380 participants at the University of Iowa are competing together to improve their health!
Among the teams, I have heard many ideas for motivation and engagment;
Anyone who leaves a comment will be entered to win one of four, 10 minute massages at UIHC or CRWC! When leaving a comment, please include your FIRST NAME AND TEAM NAME.
(Winners will be randomly drawn and must be a University of Iowa Employee, participating in Live Healthy Iowa to be eligible.)
