RIVER RUN TRAINING PROGRAM

Thinking about doing the River Run 5k on April 29 or any other 5k run/walks this spring? Join UI Wellness and partners for a “River Run Training Program.” Free educational seminars from groups like UI Sports Medicine and Running Wild, as well as Saturday morning training runs are a part of the programming available to support Novices and Advanced runners alike. Educational Session - Nutrition for Your Training Tuesday March 27 from 6-7 p.m. at CRWC Meeting Room 1A/1B
Proper nutrition is key to having your best possible performance. Graduate Assistants from UI Recreational Services will lead this talk. For attending, you’ll have the chance to win a gift certificate for Red’s Alehouse in North Liberty.

Training Run – Saturday, March 31 at 9:00 a.m. (CRWC)
Join others for a 5-kilometer training walk/run (distances will all be less than 3 miles). The training runs will be self-paced, but you will be provided with a route. They will start from the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center, and the group will meet indoors just outside of the Wellness Services area, 1st floor.
